Accounts Specialist

We are looking for an experienced and talented Accounts Specialist to join our Minerals and Metals – Australian Iron Ore Division.  In this newly created role you will be primarily responsible for the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions and any other office administration duties as required.

Mitsui’s iron ore interests (operated by BHP) are held by Mitsui’s wholly-owned subsidiaries Mitsui Iron Ore Corporation (MIOC), Mitsui-Itochu Iron Ore (MII) and Mitsui & Co. Iron Ore Exploration & Mining Pty (MICE).  We have long-term investments in four iron ore projects in the Pilbara, spanning over 50 years. 

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented and motivated individual to take ownership and responsibility for the accounts receivable and payable function, and general administration.

The Person

You will enjoy working within a small, cohesive and successful team of talented individuals and will bring to the role a high level of enthusiasm for accounts and general office coordination along with high levels of accuracy and resourcefulness. With well-honed communication skills, cultural awareness and the ability to meet tight deadlines you will have the following skills and experience:

·       Solid understanding of AR & AP principles and processes

·       Proven office administration experience

·       Proficient MS Office skills, particularly in Excel

·       High-level attention to detail

·       Effective problem-solving skills    

·       Reliable, trustworthy and dependable

·       Organisational and prioritising skills

·       Self-motivated and proactive

 

As part of your role, you will build and maintain pro-active working relationships and rapport with colleagues and external contacts. This is a diverse and key role with a strong focus on AR & AP.  As such, we are looking for a dedicated, proactive, resilient and flexible individual with good team-working skills and a strong interest in accounts.  Experience within a multi-national corporate environment as well as exposure to foreign currency transactions will be highly regarded.
